Potatoes are one of the most widely consumed foods. They can be prepared in many ways and they are very healthy for our body. So if you like to eat baked potatoes and want to expand your repertoire of recipes, then this article is for you!

1. Baked potatoes with peas and cheddar cheese

ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • ½ can of peas (63 g)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (300 g)
  • olive oil
  • Salt and parsley for seasoning
  • depending on taste: a small onion (30 g)

preparation

  1. Peel and wash the potatoes first. Then cut them into sticks.
  2. In the following we bake the potato sticks at 180ºC for about 25 or 30 minutes.
  3. After that, we heat a pan on a medium flame and wet its bottom with olive oil.
  4. Now we cut the onion into as small pieces as possible and then put them in the pan to brown them for a few minutes. It is important to stir constantly so that they don’t burn.  When the onion pieces are ready, we turn off the stove.
  5. Then we open the can of peas, drain them in a colander and reserve half of the can.
  6. Now cut the cheddar cheese into small pieces and place them in the microwave for 15 seconds with low radiation.
  7. After the potatoes are ready, we take them out of the oven and pour the cheese, peas and onion pieces over them. Garnish with a pinch of parsley and then: Bon Appetit!

2. Baked potatoes with rosemary and orange

ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • 1 bunch of rosemary
  • Olive oil (according to taste)
  • 1 glass of white wine (40 ml)
  • ½ glass of natural orange juice (100 ml)
  • Condiments: salt and black pepper
  • Additionally: a pinch of garlic powder (depending on taste)

preparation

  1. First we preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Then we wash and peel the potatoes. Now you can let your creativity run free and cut it into the shape you want. Then sprinkle them with a little olive oil.
  3. Now is the time to squeeze out the orange juice (keep the pieces of pulp as well) and then  mix it with the white wine and rosemary.
  4. The potato pieces are then baked in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes at 200ºC. After the first 10 minutes of the baking time have passed, we sprinkle the potatoes with the mixture of orange juice, wine and rosemary. Then it goes back to the oven so that they finish baking there.
  5. If you want to put some garlic powder over the potatoes,  do so just before you serve them.

3. Baked potatoes with tomato and mushrooms

ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 10 cherry tomatoes (60 g)
  • ½ bowl of mushrooms (50 g)
  • coarse-grained salt, black pepper for seasoning

preparation

  1. First we preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  2. Then we wash the cherry tomatoes.
  3. Now we wash the potatoes and cut them in half. But don’t peel them!
  4. We do the same with the mushrooms. Make sure to clean them thoroughly.
  5. Now put 2 spoons of olive oil and the minced garlic cloves in an oven dish. Place the potatoes on top (the skin should be  facing up), then season them with salt and pepper. Then they go into the oven.
  6. After the first 15 minutes of baking time has passed, we add the mushrooms.
  7. Let everything bake in the oven for a while and when the last 5 minutes of the baking time begin, we finally add the tomatoes.

4. Baked potatoes with sour cream and diced bacon

ingredients

  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • 1 cup of sour cream (150 g)
  • olive oil
  • ½ cup of grated cheese (50 g)
  • 125 g smoked bacon cubes
  • Salt and black pepper for seasoning

preparation

  1. First we preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Then we wash and peel the potatoes before we cut them into medium-thick slices.
  3. Rub an oven dish with olive oil and then add the potato slices. Now they are seasoned with salt and pepper.
  4. Then we distribute the sour cream, the grated cheese and the bacon cubes evenly over the potatoes. The bacon in particular should be well distributed.
  5. Then cover the oven pan with a piece of aluminum foil and bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  6. Then peck the potatoes with a toothpick. In this way you can find out whether they have already been cooked or whether they will need a while.
  7. Bake them for the last 5 minutes without the aluminum foil  so that they au gratin deliciously.
  8. Let the potatoes cool at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.

5. Baked potatoes with vegetables

ingredients

  • olive oil
  • Potatoes (200 g)
  • 1 whole clove of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 medium-sized carrots
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 medium zucchini
  • coarse salt, oregano, thyme, black pepper

preparation

  1. First we wash, peel and cut the vegetables into small pieces. Cut the zucchini, potatoes, and carrots into slices about 1cm thick.
  2. Cut the onion into small pieces and the bell pepper into strips.
  3. Now peel the garlic and chop it up so that you can easily distribute it later.
  4. Then preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  5. Rub an oven dish with a little olive oil and add the potatoes and vegetables. Then season everything with salt and pepper. In the following we bake the dish in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

Variation: If you wish, you can also use butter instead of olive oil.

As you may have noticed, all of these recipes take less than an hour to cook. That is why they are particularly suitable when things have to go faster. It is of course important that there is neither a lack of culinary delicacy nor originality.
